Pool design, construction and remodeling in Houston

We design and build new in-ground pools and remodel tired ones, and we plan them with the deck, cover, kitchen, fencing and drainage around them, so the whole backyard is finished as one project.

  • New gunite in-ground pools and spas
  • Pool remodels: plaster, tile, coping and decking
  • Planned with covers, kitchens and drainage

Pool projects we take on

New in-ground pools

Gunite pools and spas designed for your yard, from layout and excavation through plaster and start-up.

Pool remodels

Replastering, new waterline tile, coping, and resurfaced or replaced decking.

Equipment upgrades

Variable-speed pumps, filters, heaters and automation, sized for the pool.

Decking and coping

Concrete, pavers or stone, sloped to drain away from the pool and the house.

Water features and lighting

Sheer descents, bubblers, spillover spas and LED lighting.

Fencing and safety

Barriers and gates that meet local pool-safety requirements.

The yard comes first

Houston’s clay soils, high water tables and heavy rain shape every pool. Before design, we look at access for excavation equipment, utility lines and easements, setbacks, drainage paths and where the equipment pad can go without being the first thing you see from the patio.

What drives the cost of a pool?

Pool prices depend on size, finish level and how much of the yard changes with the pool.

What moves the price

  • Pool size, depth and shape
  • Spa, water features and lighting
  • Interior finish (plaster, quartz or pebble) and tile
  • Decking area and material
  • Equipment: pumps, heaters, automation
  • Yard access, soil conditions and drainage work

We price new pools and remodels after a site visit, with the pool, decking and equipment shown separately.

Do you need a permit to build a pool?

Yes. New pools need building, electrical and often plumbing or gas permits, and pool barriers must meet local safety requirements. HOA approval is common. Decking and fencing may need their own approvals. We handle all of it.

How we handle permits

Pool design and construction: common questions

Still unsure? Ask us directly and we will answer in plain terms.

Do I need a building permit for a pool?
Yes. New pools need building and electrical permits, and gas or plumbing permits for heaters and fill lines. We pull them and schedule the inspections.
Do I need a permit for a pool deck or pool fence?
Often, depending on your city and HOA. Pool barriers also have to meet safety requirements. We check what applies at your address.
Can you remodel an existing pool?
Yes: replastering, waterline tile, coping, decking, equipment and lighting upgrades.
Can the pool be built with a patio cover and outdoor kitchen?
Yes. Planning them together lets us run gas, power and drainage once and lay out the yard as a whole.
